The spring planting season has now finished. Planting activities for the Wanaka Water Project will resume again in early autumn at Glendhu Wetland Wildlife Refuge, Wishbone Falls and the Hawea River. We are also hoping to be planting at a number of new sites next year.
In the meantime, Volunteers are always very welcome at Te Kākano’s nursery sessions held 9am – 12pm every Tuesday and Wednesday from October 1 through to March 31. The session is friendly and low key and is a great way to meet like-minded folk. Morning/afternoon tea is usually provided. To volunteer, please contact Andrew on 021 342 187.
